Summer Weddings
âď¸With how hot itâs been lately, I figured it was the perfect time to talk to you about helping your guests stay comfortable during summer weddings.
â˘
Summer weddings are very popular, but sometimes, that sun can be overwhelming especially for long periods of time. Here are a few things that will help keep everyone comfortable while celebrating your wedding day!đ
â˘
1-If you have the option at your venue, set up your ceremony space in the shade or a covered area with wood or plastic chairs. You can still enjoy the outdoor ceremony that you planned, while providing everyone with a little relief from the sunâ¨
2-Get personalized fans! This can be a fun and cute DIY project, or support a small business by ordering them on Etsy. Plus, they could even make a great wedding favourđż
3-Set up drink stations that are easily available for you and your guests to enjoy all day. Think iced water and lemonade. Staying hydrated is super important for long days in the sun. When itâs separate from the bar, your guests wonât have to wait in line to quench their thirstđ
4-When in doubt, set up a tent with lots of pretty string lights! Make sure the tent you choose has the option of rolling up or removing the sides to allow air flow. Otherwise, it will be hot and humid in there causing the opposite effect youâd likeđ
5-Keep your menu light yet deliciously filling. Swap out that soup for a salad or a cold hors dâoeuvre. Nom nom!đĽ

Bonus tip: Remember the sun screen!! I can not stress this enough. Brides, there are sunscreen brands that you can put on under your makeup. Use spray on sunscreen to reapply throughout the day. Grooms, if you are going golfing or anything outside the morning of your wedding, wear your sunscreen too! You donât want to look sunburnt with a tan line from your hat and sunglasses in all your wedding photos.âď¸
