Hi, I’m Angela!
I’m the photographer behind Velvet Boudoir Studio, and I believe every person deserves to have photographs that remind them how powerful, beautiful, and worthy they are.
I know that stepping in front of a camera (especially for a boudoir session) can feel incredibly vulnerable. That’s why creating a private, safe, welcoming, and completely judgment-free experience is just as important to me as creating beautiful images.
My job is never to make you look like someone else. It’s to help you see the beauty, personality, and confidence that are already part of who you are.
From helping you choose your outfits to guiding your poses, hands, facial expressions, and even your breathing, I’ll be right there with you through every part of your experience.
You never have to wonder whether you’re “doing it right.”

One of my favourite parts of getting ready for your session is going through your outfits together and finding the pieces that make you go “Ooooooh YES!”
You’ll have full access to the Client Closet! It’s filled with lingerie, bodysuits, robes, accessories and statement pieces in sizes XS–6X.
I always recommend bringing a few favourites from home and then we’ll mix, match and play with everything in the studio until we find your perfect looks!
Sexy and strappy. Soft and romantic. Bold and colourful. Cozy and effortless. Barely there. Your session can look however YOU want it to look.
And yes, I will absolutely encourage you to try on that one piece you’re staring at thinking, “There is NO WAY I can pull that off.” Because you might surprise yourself😉

I’ll demonstrate the poses first and then guide you through everything, from your facial expression, right down to your fingertips and toes. I’ll tell you where to look, what to do with your hands, when to point your toes, how to arch, and when to give me that little smirk😏
I’m also paying attention to all the tiny details while we shoot. Your hair, your straps, your hands, your angles and the way the light is draping along your curves.
You get to focus on having fun while I make sure everything looks AMAZING! Before long, you’ll be moving from one pose to the next like you’ve done this a hundred times🔥

Your session is completely private, giving you the space to relax, explore and enjoy the experience without an audience.
And your photographs belong to YOU. I absolutely LOVE celebrating my clients and sharing the magic we create together, but your images are only shared with your permission. You’ll always have the final say in what stays private and what I’m lucky enough to show off. 🥰

After your session, I personally go through your photographs and choose the very best images from everything we created together.
✨Then the editing magic begins!✨
Every final image is professionally retouched by hand, with careful attention given to your skin, hair, lighting and all those tiny little details that help your photographs look beautifully polished.
Temporary things like blemishes and bruises? I’m happy to soften those.
But the freckles, scars, stretch marks and little details that are part of YOU? Those are yours to keep and celebrate🖤
My goal is always for your photographs to still look like YOU, just on your best day!
YOUR IMAGE REVEAL
The moment you get to see yourself differently
Approximately one-two weeks after your session, you’ll come back to the studio for your private Image Reveal. AKA the moment you finally get to see everything we created together!
We’ll get comfy, pull up your gallery and go through your photographs together!
This is where you’ll choose the images included in your Boudoir Collection, finalize the photographs for your Album or Heirloom Photobox, and decide if there are any additional images or products you’d love to take home.
And yes… there may be laughing. There may be happy tears.
There will probably be at least one “HOLY SHIT, LOOK AT MY ASS!” 😂🔥
This is one of my absolute favourite parts of the entire experience because I finally get to watch YOU see what I was seeing through my camera all along.

It’s filled with beautiful natural light, multiple shooting areas, gorgeous furniture and plenty of little details we can use to create a variety of looks throughout your session.
You’ll also have access to the Client Closet in sizes XS–6X, a private changing area and everything we need for your full boudoir experience.
Think less “photo studio” and more your own private boudoir playground for the day!

We hear this one a lot! The secret is to wear anything that makes you feel good. Anything that makes you feel like your favourite version of yourself.
The best outfit is the one that makes you feel confident. We also have a Client Closet FULL of lingerie for you to borrow for your boudoir session! Sizes range from XS-6X in a variety of styles! We’ll go through everything together on your Session Day and choose the looks that photograph beautifully and feel the most like YOU.
I still recommend bringing at least one outfit you already know you love, just in case your personal style is different from what I have available.
Once you’re booked, you’ll also receive my Styling Guide to help you prepare.

You do not have to go nude during your session.
You can wear as little or as much as you want!
It's whatever makes YOU feel sexy and empowered!If you do end up deciding that you would like to be a little more risqué, let me know! The poses will continue to be classy. Even during artistic nude images, everything is photographed in a tasteful, elegant way using posing, lighting, and composition. I keep sessions fun, yet very professional in every way.
