Reception-Head Table Edition
Let’s move on to the reception! This will be in multiple parts because, similar to the ceremony, there’s a lot going on during the reception!
•
⭐️First, let’s start with the head table. This table can either be just the happy couple or with your entire wedding party. If it’s with your wedding party, two typical table layouts are straight across or a T-shape. Keep in mind, when you are considering the T-shaped, your wedding party will most likely be in your candid photos during speeches. If you would prefer most of the attention being on you to during the reception, then consider having just the two of you at the head table and let the wedding party sit with friends/family.
•
💐Usually the head table will have decor such as candles or floral pieces/your bouquet(s). If this is the case, keep the decor on your head table super low or to the side. Large arrangements (and wine bottles🍷) right in the middle or right in front of you, will often block your face from your photographer and guests during speeches.

Bonus tip: If you have a large window or a lot of natural light behind you, consider sheer fabric or backdrop to avoid harsh lighting coming from directly behind you. This will not only assist your photographer, but also keep the sun out of your guests eyes when golden hour comes shinning in!☀️
