Getting Ready Location

💖You put so much time into choosing your ceremony and reception venue, make sure you’ve thought about your getting ready location too! Often this can get overlooked, but so many amazing unscripted, authentic moments happen during this time. It’s the best!

When choosing the spaces to get ready in, choose a place that has plenty of natural light! Light after all, is what photography is all about! Having enough natural light can make a huge difference in your getting ready photos. Of course, as photographers, we can shoot in whatever lighting situation comes our way, but it would be helpful to have a getting ready space with lots of windows! The more windows the better haha. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!😍

If you have a large wedding party, you will find it helpful to have a getting ready location where everyone can spread out a bit. Including us photographers. We don’t want to get in the way, but sometimes we may have to if 12 people are all getting ready in a small hotel room at the same time!😅

With so much going on the morning of your wedding, there is bound to be bags, clothes, drinks and food everywhere. Try to keep the room with the best natural light that you are getting ready in, as tidy as possible! Leave the others rooms for all the extra things.🥂
