1-Most professional makeup artists offer a bridal trial run when booking their services for your wedding day. If you can, plan your trial run for the day of your engagement session!😘

2-Makeup artistry is such a personal aspect of your day. Take your time and find the artist you feel your best with! I am more than happy to recommend my local favourites to you. I have MUA contacts all over Southern Ontario, who I fully trust to do an amazing job!⭐️

3-Find several looks that you love and think you’d feel comfortable in all day. The style you’re hoping for should be the type of style that your MUA excels at. If you want a dramatic glam look, than the MUA who specializes in natural styles isn’t for you. Communicate what you are looking for and what you expect, this will help artists determine if they’re the best fit for you!⁣💕

4-If you plan on having a bridal party of more than 4 people. Ask your MUA if they have an assistant they can bring. With an assistant, your getting ready time will be twice as fast, and you won’t need to wake up at the crack of dawn to complete everyone’s hair and makeup in time for the ceremony!

5-Now this tip is a bit controversial in the eyes of your MUA haha. Most brides usually do NOT want photos of themselves in the morning without makeup, but still want getting ready photos. So my strong suggestion as your photographer, is to have your bridal makeup almost done by the time I arrive!! That way, I’ll be there to take some beautiful makeup application action shots and you’ll look perfect in the following candid getting ready photos. Most MUAs want to work their magic on the bride last, to make sure the makeup is fresh for the ceremony. But trust me, if they are a professional MUA, with top of the line products, it will last an extra hour in the morning so that you look fabulous in ALL of your wedding day photos!❤️
